You can see your child's progress in their phonics sequence including their progress in individual activities by following these steps:
- Log in to your Parent Dashboard at https://dashboard.readingdoctor.com using the Username and Password that were emailed to you.
- Next to your child's name, click the 'Progress' button:
- Select your child from the dropdown list (you will see multiple kids if you are using the program with more than one child) to view your child's progress in their systematic synthetic phonics sequence:
You will see a list of skill types (e.g. Grapheme Knowledge), sub-skills (e.g. Single Letter Graphemes) and individual activities that teach specific targets (such as 's, a, t, p, i, n, e'). You will also see activities grouped by levels, with Level 1 being the easiest.
Reports have colour-coded activity results to help you determine your child's progress in each skill type 'at-a-glance'. The results are expressed as a % correct value with the following colour coding:
Green activities are those your child has successfully completed (passed at 80% or higher accuracy). You may also see green activities marked with an arrow (→). The arrow means that your child skipped this activity because they were moved forward in their sequence by you or by an educator.
Orange activities have been partially completed (50-80% accuracy) and will be repeated until your child achieves 80% or higher accuracy.
Red activities have not been completed (your child scored 50% or less). The program will reduce the difficulty level by one the next time this set of activities is presented.
Activities that are not coloured have not yet been attempted.
How do I view more detailed information about my child's progress in individual activities?
To view detailed progress data in activities, you can always click the View Details button to see information about individual activities and even individual responses that your child has made in the program:
Clicking that button will bring up a detailed report containing data about individual responses your child has made in activities:
Are there other report types available?
Yes. To view, print or export all types of progress reports, click on the 'Reporting' button at the top of the dashboard and select the type of report you would like:
Types of progress reports
The type of report you may want to select depends on the kind of information you require about your child's progress:

Sequence All Attempts Reports allow you to see a list of all of the activities a student has completed in their Reading Doctor Phonics Sequence, in the order that they were completed by your child.
All Activity Reports allow you to see detailed data regarding your child's progress in all activity types.
